Amber Gill reveals she had ‘biggest bust’ ahead of Love Island finale with Greg O’Shea

Ex-Love Island star Amber Gill has revealed she couldn’t be in the same room with Greg O’Shea after the ‘biggest bankruptcy imaginable’.

The winner of the reality show’s fifth season told YouTuber Murad Merali in a new interview that she and the popular Irish contestant would have to split before the show’s finale.

She said: “The day before the final me and Greg had the biggest broke imaginable like we didn’t want to know each other.

“I don’t know what it was about now, probably something ridiculous.

“We thought ‘Nah, we’re not going to do that, that’s done’, that was a lot.

“We ended up breaking up and then getting back together because we liked each other at the time.”

However, Amber said the couple decided to put their differences aside for the show as the grand finale approached.

“We were like, you know what, there’s two more days, let’s just get through this, it’s going to be fine,” she said.

“And then on the day of the final we were like, ‘Oh, we’ll probably be fourth.’ It’s going to be good, like what a good run we’ve had.

“Like he just walked in, and then we ended up in the top two and looking at each other like… what’s going on?”

The Newcastle native won the dating show with the Irish rugby star in 2019 and the couple split the £50,000 cash prize between them.

The couple called it quits just five weeks later.

At the time, Amber accused Greg of breaking up with her over texting, which he staunchly denied.
