Amber Heard has reportedly sold her home in California’s Yucca Valley two months after losing a multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuit brought by her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom property was reportedly sold off-market for $1.05m (£857,283). Heard bought the property in 2019 for $570,000 (£465,382).

The new owners of the 2,450-square-foot property are Rickard and Carol-Jeannette Jorgensen, who own Las Vegas-based risk management firm Jorgensen & Company LLC, the New York Post reports.

The Independent has reached out to representatives of the Jorgensens and Heard for comment.

The previous listing for Heard’s Yucca Valley home described it as a “one of a kind property” with several luxurious features, including a 110-foot bridge that leads to a mountainside gazebo.

Other amenities reportedly include a 1,200-square-foot garage, whole-house surround-sound stereo, wet bar, and kitchen with a dual-burner grill, according to the listing on Glen Realty.

Last month, Heard filed a motion to appeal the verdict in the high-profile defamation lawsuit Depp filed against her.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star claimed that Heard defamed him in an op-ed published in The Washington Post, in which she described herself as “a public figure who advocates domestic violence.”

Heard filed a countersuit in November 2020, asking for immunity from Depp’s claims.

On June 1, a jury overwhelmingly ruled in Depp’s favour, finding that the Aquaman actor had defamed him in three statements.

The jury also found that an attorney for Depp defamed Heard in one of three statements highlighted in her counterclaim.

Depp was awarded $10 million in missed career opportunity compensation and $5 million in punitive damages. Judge Penney Azcarate later reduced the punitive damages to $350,000, the maximum allowable in the state of Virginia, where the trial took place.

For her part, Heard was awarded $2 million in damages for one of her three counterclaims. She owed Depp a total of $8.35 million.

However, shortly after the trial concluded, Heard’s attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, appeared on morning talk shows to say that her client would not be able to pay the enormous amount she owed Depp.
