Khan was stopped by Brook in the sixth round in a fight that appeared to have settled their nearly two-decade rivalry
Amir Khan is expected to exercise his right to a rematch with Kell Brook despite being stopped in the sixth round last month.
Khan and Brook finally met after almost two decades of back and forth while both men became world champions.
Brook dominated from the first bell in Manchester, leaving boxing fans convinced that Khan was going to hang up his gloves.
But alongside a photo of the pair, Khan’s brother Haroon Khan said: “It wasn’t the result we wanted. No excuses, but AK wasn’t like that that night, but the heart he showed and what he gave to what matters is the fans.
“Bring the rematch and let’s change things up and get the win.”
but mirror fight understands that Khan is yet to make an official decision about his future.
Khan had several weeks after his loss to activate his rematch – but promoter Ben Shalom admitted it would be a surprise if he chose to do so.
“It’s not something we would recommend and it’s something we don’t think Amir should do, but he has that option. We heard rumors from his camp that he was jet lagged and didn’t take Kell too seriously.” he told talkSPORT.
“I don’t think it’s going to happen, but it’s not in our hands. It’s something we agreed to before the fight, something Kell agreed to before the fight and he has three weeks to decide if he wants to fight him again.
“Amir was demolished in that fight and I would expect that to happen again. But technically he would be entitled to this rematch.”

Khan declined to confirm his retirement immediately after the fight, but hinted he would hang up his gloves.
“I’ll sit down with my family but I think it might be,” Khan said when asked if this could be his last fight. “It’s definitely something to think about.
“I’ve always said I never want boxing to put me into retirement, I want to retire from boxing and such punishments sometimes in boxing, too much of it can sometimes be detrimental in the future.
“I’ll sit down with my wife and family tomorrow morning and see how it goes.”
