Emmerdale star Amy Walsh ‘had to make some excuses’ by giving birth to her daughter Bonnie and Toby-Alexander Smith

Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh has revealed that giving birth to her and boyfriend Toby-Alexander Smith’s baby has been a ‘tough’ process.
The couple moved in together at the beginning of the closure, having recently welcomed daughter Bonnie.
However, the birthing process was not easy for Amy, 34.
Appearing on Loose Women to discuss life as a new mother, the soap actress explained: “Yes, it was tough. It wasn’t easy at all. I was prepared. mentally for the worst but that’s worse than the worst.”
“I had to induce for various reasons and the risk of infection, which is obviously just a shock to you isn’t it. The contractions were quick but I didn’t dilate.
“In the end it was very difficult to get her out and many other complications. I had an epidural for induction but that happened so I had to recover another one in the middle of the worst part of the attacks. your contractions.”
EastEnders Toby, who plays serial killer Gray Atkins on the soap, joins Amy on the panel and discusses how he feels.
The 31-year-old explained: “It’s so hard to see someone you love and care about, it’s ultimately a miracle, going through so much pain.”
Amy and Toby welcomed daughter Bonnie last December. They confirmed the news in the new year.
They confirmed the arrival YES!said: “Wow… what a busy week! Hope you all have a nice day. HAPPY NEW YEAR from the three of us.”
Emmerdale stars Amy and Toby also shared a sweet moment as they were pushing a stroller and lovingly looking at their newborn.
Amy, the sister of Girls Aloud star Kimberley, said in November that she feels “made” to have a baby.
She said: “I felt strangely amused by it.
“I’m sure everyone who’s been through it reading this will laugh but it’s something I’ve always wanted to experience.”

She added: “I’ve always felt compelled to do that. I know very well how scary it can be so I know it won’t be a bed of roses, but what I look forward to most is the same. Toby overcomes that journey.”
Amy, who plays Tracy Metcalfe and Toby, announced in September that they are expecting their first child together.
She told YES! Journal at the time: “It feels like everything is just right.
“I thought I might be struggling with fertility, so getting pregnant was pretty easy and when I wanted – I hit it. We feel incredibly lucky…”
