PlayStation Network had a bit of a rough patch on Tuesday night. For about 45 minutes Sonys PlayStation Network status page revealed that all of its services were experiencing issues of some sort, affecting things like logging into your account and connecting to PlayStation Now and the PlayStation Store. However, now the page shows that everything is “up and running”.
It’s unclear how widespread the problems were. Personally, I was able to connect online bloodborne and send a message to a colleague, but the PS5’s PlayStation Store was having trouble loading a lot of content. A few others had more severe problems connecting online, including “error code WS-37469-9” as shown in this thread on the r/PS5 subreddit. down detector shows there were more than 12,000 user reports of problems.
Epic Games tweeted even during the outage, shows Fourteen days PlayStation players who may have encountered sign-in issues to view Sony’s PlayStation Network status page. To my surprise, I was able to register Fourteen days and getting into a match even after forcing and restarting the app so the issues didn’t seem to affect everyone.
Update April 12, 7:53 p.m. ET: Sony says its services are back online.
