Andrew Garfield ‘wants to get back with his ex’ after taking a break from Hollywood

Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield has expressed his desire to return to Alyssa Miller, as he takes a break from the Hollywood spotlight

Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield is said to want to mend his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Alyssa Miller after taking a step back from the Hollywood spotlight.

Earlier this month, the Mirror reported that Garfield, 38, and Miller, 32, had agreed to go their separate ways, just days after the actor missed out on an Oscar for co-star Will Smith.

However, Garfield’s decision to pause his career has shocked fans, as he cited his desire to “be normal for a while” while reconsidering “what I want to do next and I wanted to be” as a reason for his departure.

Now, a source told Sun : “Andrew’s decision to take a break was driven by many factors and one of them was Alyssa.

“They had something really special and their time apart has made him rethink. Andrew wants to settle down and have a more normal life. And he can see a future with him. him and Alyssa.

“Of course it’s early days but he’s made it clear that a reconciliation is what he wants to work towards.”

Meanwhile, Garfield appeared on US TV show The View on Thursday, assuring fans that he is not leaving the industry for good.

“I don’t know where that’s coming from,” said Garfield, who was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Epsom, Surrey. “I just said I’m going to take a break, I’m going to have a vacation.”

“I think people make stories out of nowhere. I’m not retired.”

Alyssa previously dated Jake Gyllenhaal in 2014 and is said to have been briefly married to musician Cam Avery of Tame Impala in 2018.

Meanwhile, Andrew’s past relationships include a 4-year romance with Emma Stone from 2011 to 2015, and dating Rita Ora.
