Android warning about shady websites stealing your bank details – DO NOT ignore the warning

GOOGLE hopes to alert people to internet scams with special warnings for Chrome.

Android users will see a popup when they visit websites that are considered unsafe.

Warnings about possible phishing and detected malware are activated automatically.

Some of the messages you can expect are “The previous website contains malware”.

This means that the website you are trying to access might try to install dubious software on your device.

If you see “Fraudulent website ahead” you suspect phishing.

You may also see a “Suspicious website” or “The previous website contains malicious programs” message.

And if the website isn’t secure, you’ll see: “This site is trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources”.

Whatever message you see, think twice before discarding it and moving on.

If you are sure the site is safe and want to ignore the warning, you can tap detailsfollowed by Visit this unsafe site.

The page will then load.

“Download with caution,” says Google.
