Angelina Jolie resigns as UN special envoy for refugees

Angelina Jolie and the UN refugee agency split after more than two decades.

In a joint statement released on Friday, the actress and the agency announced that she will “continue” from her role as the agency’s special envoy “to engage in a range of humanitarian issues.” and broader human rights”.
