An ANGRY resident has criticized a driver for keeping them up all night – after car alarms went off on their roads for “10 hours” straight.
Neighbors who live at Lansdowne Place in Brighton, East Sussex, left three angry notes on their black Audi when they woke up – threatening to smash it in retaliation.
One local threatened to “kick and punch” the car in a carefully typed message taped to the windshield.
Another asserted “nobody breaks into your car” in a cryptic response to the piercing warning.
The typed letter, sent on Thursday morning, read: “Hi, can you fix the faulty alarm on your car?
“It went on all night and must have kept a lot of people awake.
“It definitely kept me awake and now I’m sleepless and angry.”
It added: “Fortunately I’m mature enough to understand that you may not be aware of the erotic sounds your car has been releasing into the clean air over the past ten hours.
“If not, chances are I wouldn’t have stopped kicking and punching this tin can out of revenge (and glad I did).”

James Chapman, who lives nearby, said he was awoken by the squealing sound of the car around 5:30 a.m. – but his wife was up all night.
The 48-year-old discovered the angry notes as he moved his car in the morning – and in a desperate bid to get hold of the car, posted a photo on Facebook.
He told The Sun Online: “I saw these notes and thought it was hilarious.
“I think putting it on Facebook can help find the owner so they can come in and turn it off.
“It’s just one of those little noises that go through your head. It goes on and off for a while and you think it’s stopped and then comes back on.
“It just goes on in that cycle throughout the night – maybe for about 10 hours.”
James said the car had a residence permit so he phoned the council to ask if they could contact the driver.
It has moved to a nearby street.
‘I SLEEP IT GOOD AND SORRY’
The father-of-two, whose daughter does charity work in the coastal city, added: “It’s not a place where you have to go through a lot – that’s probably what scares people even more. “
He added that a fourth note was later left to correct a typo on one of the earlier messages.
Facebook users were quick to comment on James’ post, with one former resident saying the car alarm system “always goes on” when she lives on the road.
Another disgruntled neighbor wrote: “I can hear this Audi every day”.
A third added: “I love when someone types it out, prints it out and sticks it on the window – they’re so professional.”
A spokesman for Brighton and Hove council said: “This was reported to us yesterday afternoon.
“By the time one of our field workers got there, the vehicle was no longer there.”
