Anne-Marie has said she feels “really proud” that she carried on after falling during her performance at the Brit Awards.

She said the positive response from fans had left her “emotional”.
I don’t need my left ankle

After making an entrance from inside a giant heart while performing the hit Don’t Play with YouTuber and rapper KSI and Digital Farm Animals, Anne-Marie slipped while going down some stairs.
Despite her falling, The Voice UK coach continued with her performance.
She told Cosmopolitan UK: “The ankle is fine. It’s not too bad. It’s better than I thought… I think it will fall out, direct it in.
“No, it’s okay. To my surprise I was even able to walk and continue the show. I’m just really proud that I did it. Everyone is very nice about it.
“After that, I was so emotional because everyone was so positive about it and being so nice to me, that I actually cried about it more than I cried about what really happened.
“(The memes) made me laugh so much, I couldn’t help posting them.”
After her fall, fans on social media sent messages of support and praised her for continuing her performance.
Some have compared it to the moment Madonna fell a few steps while performing at the 2015 Brit Awards.
Anne-Marie also discusses the advice she would give herself as a child.
She said: “For me, it would be a lot about… I was always nervous.
“And it’s stressful and exhausting and time-consuming, because you think worrying will make things better or fix things before they happen. But it’s meaningless.
“Honestly, I just figured it out – it didn’t even happen to me when I was younger, but to myself two years ago.
“Realize how short life is, and have as much fun as you can. That’s what I want to say to myself. “
