Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly are delighted to bring I Am A Celebrity back to its “spiritual home” in Australia.

The presenting duo – who have led the show since its inception – said that while Covid restrictions are resolved both here and in Oz, ITV plans to bring the show back to its native Australia. after two years in Wales.

Due to the Covid pandemic, ITV had to move production from sunny Australia to cold and wet Wales, where they held the iconic show at Gwrych Castle in the north of the country.

The duo later appeared on ITV’s This Morning as they chatted with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the upcoming series and admitted they couldn’t wait to return to Australia after two years in Wales.

Asked about going back to Australia, Dec said: “If they let us stay in the country, we’ll come back.”

“We had a lovely two years in Wales, we really enjoyed our time in Wales, but this show has to be in Australia, we have to go back.”
