He made around £80m from the fight with Usyk and the fight before that he stopped Kubrat Pulev.

But in the past 12 months, the Watford brawler has spent £3.8m on the taxman through his company Sparta Promotion, according to List of taxes according to the Sunday Times.

That costs him more in taxes than the likes of Little Mix, Harry Styles and Stormzy.

AJ has lucrative sponsorship deals with Under Armor, Hugo Boss and Lucozade and is the face of DAZN boxing streaming.

But the top of the ‘celebrity’ list is Ed Sheeran, who has had to part with £12.5m. David and Victoria Beckham are the third highest earners of £7.2m.

But all these figures turn out to be meaningless to the top taxpayers in the UK – Denise John and Peter Coates, who paid £481.7m.

The Stoke couple run the betting company Bet365, which has 63 million customers around the world.

They top the list, with former Tottenham chairman and now The Apprentice star Sir Alan Sugar in sixth with a salary of £163.4m.

Meanwhile, Joshua is tipped to wrap up his big rematch with Usyk and have a chance at reclaiming the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight world titles.

AJ was easily eliminated by the undisputed former heavyweight cruiser king last September.

That was paid for the England fight against WBC champion Tyson Fury for all belts.

Joshua recently accused by advertiser Frank Warren in Fury’s undisputed heavyweight title fight with Usyk by demanding more money.

ONE The last gasp bid to make the blockbuster unification was successful just hours before Fury cleans up in the water with Dillian Whyte went to bid on Friday.

Joshua has been offered a one-day salary of £15m to walk away from his rematch with the undefeated Usyk, a fee promoter Warren claims is not enough for the former unified heavyweight champion.
