Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury: Fight terms accepted for potential December 3 date

Anthony Joshua seems ready for battle Tyson Fury before the end of the year after his team accepted terms set by Fury for an event.

anger initially challenged Joshua to a Battle of Britain showdown shortly after AJ’s loss to Oleksandr Usyk in August.

This was because it would be unlikely anger could fight Usyk himself until 2023.

Sky sports news reported that Fury initially highlighted November 26 at Wembley or December 3 at Cardiff as possible dates for the fight.

In a statement on Twitter today Joshua258 management said: “258 and @MatchroomBoxing can confirm on behalf of @anthonyjoshua that we have accepted all the terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight on December 3rd last Friday.

“Due to the Queen’s death, it has been agreed that all communications will cease. We are waiting for an answer.”

anger‘s promoter Frank Warren responded shortly thereafter by saying, “The contract will be with you very soon.”

A fight between Fury and Joshua was scheduled for August 2021 before a referee ruled Deontay Wilder was contractually entitled to a third fight against Fury in their encounters.

After defeating Wilder for a second time in October 2021, anger did not fight again until April 2022 when he bested Dillian Whyte.

The 34 year old claimed he would retire from the sport afterwards, but the prospect of finally competing Joshua seems to have been too good to refuse. Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury: Fight terms accepted for potential December 3 date
