The guest then explained where she inherited the luxury items from.

She said: “I inherited them from an elderly neighbor. She, in turn, received them from her maiden aunt, who did a lot of private nursing. If she hadn’t killed any anyone in the process, they often parted with her gifts.”
She noted that she didn’t wear it much, which John later asserted was a good thing.
“I’m glad you didn’t wear it very much because it’s also in surprisingly good condition.”

The pair then discussed their value, as the woman revealed she had taken them to a dealer who said they were worth £180.
“Well, I took them to Cardiff and showed them to a local agent, and he offered me £180 for both,” she explained.
John then surprised her by telling her that they were actually worth much more.
“This sentimental sweet hair brooch will be auctioned off for maybe £250 to £300. So you have an offer to buy one. jewels here,” he said.
