Apple Announces Spring Mac/iPad/iPhone Event

Apple keep us waiting It took a little longer than expected, but has now confirmed its spring launch event will take place on March 8 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET. The company is expected to introduce an improved iPad Air, a new Mac, and an iPhone SE with 5G in what will be its first products. ‘wild array’ Introducing upcoming products.

What is Peek Performance?

The invitation to Apple’s event is titled “Peek performance.” The image features the six-color Apple logo, consisting of six small to large logos stacked in an apple shape.

Apple's 3/8 invitation Apple

Apple invites for the March 8 event.

It’s hard to imagine what this might represent: it could be as simple as a hint of different colors in some of its new products, but it could also indicate a shift to other technologies. New screen technology. I’m sure the Apple myth industry has come in with plenty of speculation (and I doubt there’ll be a lot of discussion here). Mobile World Congress.)

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of marketing, has published a Tweet contains a short video with an invitation-like design.

What do we expect? An iPhone SE with 5G, a brand new iPad Air, and a new Mac.

We begin the road to M2

For Apple experts, the introduction of the new Mac could be the most exciting news. We think the company will introduce a higher-end Mac mini with a faster M1 Pro or M1 Max chip and a slimmer design. The company is also expected to introduce a 13-inch screen. The MacBook Pro equipped with the first M2 chip emerged from Apple’s silicon development lab. This will become the input model for the MacBook Pro system that supports the M1 Pro and M1 Max that Apple currently offers.

When Apple introduces the M2 chip, we’ll get a closer look at how the company there are plans to repeat Apple’s silicon processors in future Macs.

After all, the M2 will likely appear in higher-end MacBook Pro models, possibly under the M2 Pro and M2 Max branding. Therefore, it will be informative to find out how the M2 processor compares to the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips in terms of computing power and performance. Will Apple focus on performance? Or will it choose to focus on graphics performance in the second iteration of the chip?

I think the “Peek performance” title is important here. This is also important as we will no doubt accelerate the introduction of 3nm Mac chips, likely in 2023 or 2024.

Current rumors predict the M2 chip will boast an 8-core CPU, but with up to a 10-core GPU for speed, performance, and graphics performance.

Lowest cost iPhone SE 5G

Apple is also expected to introduce the new iPhone SE with the most affordable price Smartphones that support 5G within its scope. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding pricing, but whatever the cost, it’s reasonable to expect carriers to prepare to introduce new hardware with a flurry of deals as they look to boost their sales. push the adoption of 5G. They want to make their new 5G network a profit centerafter all.

No significant design changes are expected, which means thicker bezels and Touch ID/Home buttons.

One thing that will change, however, is the introduction of faster A-series chips. Most are now expecting an A15 processor in the device, like in the current iPhone 13 range.

This device will help Apple expand the market and will almost certainly attract the interest of consumers looking for low-cost access to 5G. Business customers will also be interested in this, as it becomes a low-cost way to equip employees with reliable 5G devices.

The product should also enter parts of the smartphone market currently occupied by Oppo, Samsung, Huawei and others.

Powerful iPad Air Improvements

I recently discuss about iPad Air. To repeat some of the changes predicted on still great Model 2020, expect:

  • The A15 Bionic chip is faster.
  • The advent of 5G as an option.
  • Higher resolution 12MP FaceTime camera with Center Stage.
  • New colors (may be reflected in event invitations).

The latter should be of use to any remote business professional who spends a lot of time in video collaboration sessions. Center Stage now works with most leading video services and helps ensure you’re in the frame of the meeting as you move around the room.

Apple’s event will be streamed on its event website and available through the Apple TV app on March 8. I’ll post news as it’s passed and include an in-depth post-event section more here.
