A NEW feature of one of Apple’s biggest apps has mysteriously disappeared after users complained about problems.
The iPhone maker recently rolled out a new Home app architecture designed to make everything better.
The Home app is Apple’s tool for controlling all your smart home devices under one roof.
To get the benefits, all devices in Home must be updated to the latest version.
But people who have tried this have apparently been hit with problems MacRumors.
Below them, kit is stuck with the words “update” or “configure”.
Others claim HomeKit devices are gone entirely.
Invitations for people to check your stuff are also supposed to fail.
“This shit kicked all my family members out of my home and I’m having trouble putting it back in,” said one user Reddit.
Since the complaints, the upgrade has mysteriously disappeared.
But not everyone has the same problem.
The same people say they upgraded well.
It was an optional process that you had to get yourself from the Software Update portion of Home Settings.
So if you’re hoping for an upgrade, you’ll have to wait until Apple reintroduces it.
Those who have already set it up – with no issues – should be able to continue as normal.
The changes to Home were introduced with iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, and macOS Ventura 13.1.
