Apple Park was partially evacuated after an envelope with white powder was discovered

Part of the Apple Park campus in Cupertino was evacuated after first responders discovered an envelope containing a white powdery substance. NBC Bay Area report. Santa Clara County Fire Department report problem showed that there was a fire alarm and a hazmat response at Apple’s headquarters shortly after noon local time.

Emergency workers have determined that the situation is under control, and employees appear to have been allowed back inside, according to the publication. It is not clear what the substance may be.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment on what might be going on. After repeatedly rescheduling the return to the office for its employees, Apple will begin a “phased approach” to the combined work pilot in April.
