APPLE offers users a very useful feature that all app makers need to roll out in just over a month.

But it’s the users who win at the end of the day, and this latest change is no different.

As of June 30, apps that have the ability to create an account within them must also have a button that allows users to delete it if they decide to quit.

It’s designed to stop app makers from secretly engaging you with them when you might want to leave – and to end long searches on FAQ pages.

Don’t hide the button either.

The rules clearly state that a account deletion Option must be “easy to find”.

So it’s good news if there’s an app you wanted to delete your account from but couldn’t find a way to do it.

“Just offering the ability to temporarily disable or disable an account isn’t enough,” Apple warned developers.

“People should be able to delete the account along with their personal information.”

Originally, Apple had planned to implement the policy at the end of January.

But the iPhone maker has decided to extend the deadline to the summer to give developers enough time to prepare.

There are of course some exceptions, such as B. Heavily regulated areas like banking, where companies are allowed to dig a little deeper into the process due to the importance.

Developers also have to navigate the minefield of laws in each country to ensure they only keep user account information they are entitled to while deleting the rest – which they should already be doing.
