APPLE has warned iPhone owners to update their phones after more than 25 security issues were revealed on iOS.
The tech giant has released its latest version, iOS 15.5, to protect people from potential cyber attacks.
Many of the flaws could allow an application to run “arbitrary code,” a technique hackers use to perform shady tasks on a victim’s phone.
Most vulnerabilities are discovered by external experts and anonymous researchers.
The reason Apple routinely lists so many is that they are kept top secret until a solution is found to prevent cyber crooks from further exploiting them.
“To protect our customers, Apple does not disclose, discuss, or confirm security issues until an investigation has been conducted and patches or releases are available,” Apple said.
But the latest iOS update wasn’t just about security issues.
The firm has also made some noticeable changes to the interface – albeit very small ones.
Below are new request and send buttons added to Apple Wallet.
This is intended to allow users to use Messages to request or transfer money faster using the Apple Cash card.

You might also have noticed a new name there — Apple Pay has been renamed to Apple Cash in the Messages app.
Elsewhere, podcast lovers can limit the number of episodes stored on their iPhone by automatically deleting older ones.
And anyone with a HomePod will see that Wi-Fi signal bars now appear in the speaker’s dedicated app, letting you know if the two are connected.
The update should roll out automatically for iPhone owners, but you can force it to download and install right away by going to settingsfollowed by abovethen Software update.
