Now all iPhone owners are urged to install the latest iOS update to protect themselves from the attack immediately.

The warning has been appearing since Wednesday evening – and protects you from dangerous hacker attacks.

Keeping your iPhone up to date is extremely important.

First of all, it upgrades your device with new features for you to enjoy.

But it also means that you install important security updates from Apple.

The latest update is called iOS 15.6.1 and is now available for free download.

According to Apple, the update fixes a number of security vulnerabilities that are “actively exploited”.

This means that it is very important that you update your iPhone as soon as possible.

“This update provides important security updates and is recommended for all users,” Apple said.

To do this, go to Settings > General > Software update.

These security updates fix problems in Apple’s iPhone code or systems.

Hackers can exploit these bugs to take control of parts (or even all) of your handset.

Therefore, Apple fixes these regularly with updates.

But if you don’t regularly install iOS updates on your iPhone, the loopholes exploited by hackers remain open.

It’s also important to make sure you’re using a relatively recent model.

Some very old iPhone models no longer receive iOS updates.

This poses a significant risk of hacking, so it’s worth considering an upgrade as soon as possible.

For example, when the iOS 16 update lands in September, Apple’s 1st generation iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and iPhone SE will be cut off.

These phones were compatible with the latest iOS 15.6.1 but will not get iOS 16.

If you’re using older iPhones, you’re already cut off, so consider upgrading to a newer model right away.

Here is the full list of devices supported by iOS 16:

Any iPhones not on this list will not get iOS 16.

If you’re using an older iPhone, you simply need to upgrade your handset to a newer device to access iOS 16.
