The four remaining contenders – Brittany Carter, Harpreet Kaur, Kathryn Burn and Stephanie Affleck – found out their fates on tonight’s episode of BBC One, as the interview round favorite returns.

They were asked about their business and future plans, with favorite Claude Littner returning to the show, as well as Claudine Collins, Linda Plant and Mike Soutar.

Back in the boardroom, Lord Alan Sugar decided to fire Brittany and Stephanie, leaving two other women to fight next week for a £250,000 investment in a 50/50 partnership in their business. .

During a difficult interview period, Brittany, Harpreet, Kathryn and Steff were faced with direct questions about their business plans, and Claude gave the candidates some startling answers.

When interviewing Steff about her used designer children’s clothing market, he told her: “Are you increasing your sales from £300,000 to £1.8m in a year? ” to which she replied, “Yes,” when Claude mocked her voice, before adding: “Yeah? No.”

Brittany – who was promoting a high-protein alcoholic beverage business – was in tears when Mike Soutar pointed out a major flaw in her business plan, but she lied to the candidates. when they asked her if she had tears in her eyes during the interview.

Ahead of tonight’s show, Brittany admits the pandemic has been a huge catalyst for her decision to start her own business, as she says: “The pandemic was definitely a catalyst because I’ve always been there. focus on the work that I have, me I don’t really have time for myself. I always knew I wanted to run my own business but there would be times when work would be a little quieter.”

Elsewhere, Harpreet – who runs a dessert business – explained that her entrepreneurial spirit was “the beginning of a later life”.

“I think I’m around 20 or 21 and I’m working for a bank while studying and I just know that I can personally achieve more,” she says, “Starting my own business I’m like an itch that I need to scratch, and I just want to look back when I’m older and think, wow, I really broke that goal. later in life.”

Looking back on her time on the show, Kathryn – who is promoting her pajamas business online, with clothes suitable for the whole family and even dogs – confesses it is ” a hellish journey”.

“It’s been a hell of a journey, and there was definitely a time when I thought I was going to get fired, so standing with these 3 amazing, strong girls, I just feel so proud and no more. Who else would I want to be there,” she said.

Steff initially wanted to be a singer – but her dream soon changed when she was 16 years old.

She shared: “When I was young, my dream was to become a singer and I lived and fulfilled it until I was 16, but after striving for it all my life, I realized my dream had changed. change in drama school”. “
