january can be a tight month to stretch your most recent paycheck and luxuries like a haircut might be something you need to rethink this month.
However, not all hope is lost as there is a way to tidy your hair without damage.
Apprentice star and Moxi Loves founder Pamela Laird shared a video tutorial on TikTok on how you can remove those annoying split ends from the comfort of your own bedroom.
Laird took her followers through a quick step-by-step video with the caption, “So I cut my own hair” along with the hashtags # #diyhair #diyhaircut #haircut #haircutchallenge #blondehair
She started by combing her hair completely and cutting her blonde locks off.
Then she picked up the scissors and started cutting the ends of her hair.
The trick is to cut diagonally and skillfully instead of cutting straight.
When tackling the front, she cuts down diagonally at an angle for a layered effect.

If you are looking to start 2022 with a whole new look, one of the main things you need to change is your hair.
Faye Riley, Senior Stylist at Doll Beauty HQ, she recently revealed that she noticed a lot of customers trying something new in the new year.
Here, she revealed top five hairstyles that most people can do.
SLEEK AND STRAIGHT
Loved by Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian on the red carpet, the smooth straight hairstyle is quite easy to recreate.
“Remember to use a heat protectant spray when straightening your hair and apply a little conditioner to add shine,” says Faye.
“Regardless of your hair length or texture, it will give you a glossy base for eye-catching pin accessories and eye-catching hair slides.”
MESSY UPDO
Another easy style is the messy updo – it’s great because it looks right on everyone, making it the perfect style for a New Year’s makeover.
Senior stylist Faye says there’s a reason the messy hairstyle is the most searched for on Pinterest.
“Put it on high and low at the nape of your neck and just take the little textured and wavy parts and pin them,” she says.
“Don’t think too much about the placement of the pins, the purpose of the interface is to be intentionally cluttered but still look sleek for that off-duty styling.”
TOP KNOT BUN
Another hairstyle to choose if you are looking to go safe in the new year is the high bun.
Senior stylist Faye explains that nothing is more timeless than this style and it can be worn by everyone.
All you need to do is spray hairspray on the comb and brush each strand of hair neatly, Faye advises.
Half Up Half Down
“This is perfect for longer hair with great volume and short hair if the hair isn’t long enough for a ponytail,” she says.
Faye also suggests that the half-flat top is another hairstyle that looks great on everyone.
Cross Waves
While the expert hairstylist added that tousled waves are another safe and easy bet to get you into 2022.
“Cut your hair into one-inch lengths,” explains Faye.
“Then, using a curling iron or iron, start wrapping it at least two inches from the roots down to give it a slight curl. That’s it! ”
