Alana Spencer was crowned The Apprentice 2016 Champion

Apprentice winner Alana Spencer was hospitalized after breaking four ribs in a workplace accident.

Contestants of 2016 have arrived Instagram to share the news with her 48,000 followers, including one moment she was lying on a stretcher surrounded by paramedics.

However, the 30-year-old businesswoman was still able to put on a smile before being taken into the waiting ambulance.

She captioned the post: “People often ask me why I insist on doing all the manual work on my own and have told me for years that I should always hire professionals instead.

“Well, today, for the first time, I think I’m prepared to admit… that they might be right!”

Her followers were quick to express their sympathy and support on the social media platform, with one user commenting: “Four ribs broken and you still have a smile on your face! Wishing you a speedy recovery! “

Another replied: “Oh no Alana! Take good care of yourself and get well soon. Sending love.”

The third added: “Hope you’re okay, Alana. Sending you love and hope you get better soon. Hey, don’t be afraid to get support.”

The fourth said, “Oh no, it’s silly to hope for a quick recovery! But sit back and relax so that others can be less stressed.”

Winning the twelfth series of the hit BBC show in 2016 earned her a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar for her luxury chocolate and pastry business, Ridiculous Rich .

Since then, she has gone on to open a number of coffee and pastry shops throughout Wales, including in her hometown of Aberystwyth, along with Llandudno and Caernarfon.

Alana initially founded the business – then Narna’s Cakes – in 2010 in a village on the outskirts of Aberystwyth on the west coast of Wales when she was just 16 years old.

Before gaining fame on the show, she unsuccessfully applied as a contestant for the Junior Apprentice version of the show.

It hasn’t been the best of recent times for another Apprentice winner, Sian Gabbidon of 2018.

Just weeks after Lord Sugar hired new businessman and this season’s winner Harpreet Kaur, he is said to have broken up with Sian.

The business mogul is said to have ceased to be the director of her beach and clothing company, Sian Marie Fashion.

His company Amvest Limited invested the usual £250,000 when she was crowned and is said to have taken “substantial control” of her business.
