Arcade Fire celebrates chart success with sixth album We

Arcade Fire have secured their fourth UK number one album.

he Canadian band, led by husband and wife team Win Butler and Regine Chassagne, topped the charts with their sixth studio album, We.

Widely hailed by critics as a return to form, the album sees the indie rockers return to the emotional and simple style of their early records.

Her previous number one hits include “The Suburbs” (2010), “Reflector” (2013) and “Everything Now” (2017).

Number two, a career highlight, went to Norwegian singer Sigrid with her second studio album How to Let Go.

The record follows their 2019 debut, Sucker Punch, which peaked at number four.

She said: “I actually can’t believe it. I beat myself and I couldn’t be prouder!

“Thank you to everyone who is listening to the album, it really means the world to me and the rest of the team.”

London-born rapper Knucks was third with Alpha Place, while Kentucky rapper Jack Harlow was fourth with Come Home The Kids Miss You.
