Sussex has rewarded its leading one-day wicket-taker with a new deal this year.
Ari Karvelas has agreed a more permanent deal after agreeing to a short-term arrangement.
As per normal policy, the length of the contract has not been disclosed.
The 28-year-old took 20 wickets and went at 5.40 runs per over as Sussex reached the last four of the Royal London Cup.
He also appeared in the Championship, making his debut against Middlesex at Lord’s.
Karvelas was born in Johannesburg but has played international cricket for Greece.
He emerged for Kent 2nd XI, taking his Sussex chance when they were hit by unavailabilities in their melee attack.
Karvelas said: “It is a great honor to sign this contract. I am very much looking forward to continuing my journey with Sussex and excited to see what the future holds.
“I am grateful for the continued support from players, coaches, staff and fans.”
