Arklow’s Seabreeze Festival is back on the calendar

THE Seabreeze Festival committee have announced the return of the popular Arklow festival after a two-year hiatus due to Covid.

The event will take place from July 15th to 17th.

Arklow Councilor Tommy Annesley said: “The event is well underway and there are some big names coming to the festival.”

A Seabreeze AGM will be held on May 24th at 8:00pm at The Royal Hotel. and the Seabreeze Festival committee said they are always looking for new people to join them.

The Seabreeze Princesses Contest also returns at The Royal Hotel on July 3rd and anyone over the age of 18 is encouraged to enter.

There were concerns about the future of the festival due to construction on Arklow Main Street.

However, Cllr Tommy said, “With the help of the council engineers, we were able to address those concerns and set up the festival.”
