Arsenal club latest to announce ban on pitch invaders as Gunners say they will ‘cancel membership’ for breach

ARSENAL followed Brighton in announcing that it would be implementing bans on yard invaders following a string of recent events.
ONE Supporters hit the field during Thursday’s Carabao Cup opening game under Liverpool’s hand as he ran towards the ball.
He then tried to shake hands with goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, but the goalkeeper refused to interact with the individual male.
Meanwhile boss Mikel Arteta had to jump out of the way when a fan rushed towards him after Arsenal beat West Ham 2-0 at the Emirates.
And just a few days ago, a fan grabbed right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu’s shirt after a 3-0 win over Southampton.
Arsenal’s 0-2 defeat to the Red Devils saw two fans evade security and enter the field, while a third fan was stopped after the game.
And now Arsenal have released a statement to the PA news agency, where they announce that there will be dire consequences if anyone tries it in the future.
It read: “During recent matches at Emirates Stadium, there were a number of people who entered the field during or after the match ended.

“We strongly remind everyone that entering the field without prior authorization is a criminal offense under the Football (Breach) Act 1991.
“During Thursday night’s game against Liverpool, we were saddened to see a number of individuals running onto the pitch.
“This not only disrupts the game but must be managed as a serious security risk to all players, officials and everyone in the stadium.
“All individuals who encroached on the field on Thursday night were apprehended by our management and subsequently identified.
“These individuals, and others who recently entered the field, have now received a three-year ban from the Emirates Stadium team.
“They have also had their membership terminated from our club and their details have been passed on to the Police for further investigation.
“If anyone is thinking about this, please refrain, as all football clubs and the Police are taking this matter extremely seriously.
“All perpetrators of public order violations, including field encroachments and recent pyrotechnics and objects throwing, will receive an extended ban to the stadium and legal sanctions. more likely to happen”.
Brighton has declared early this week Yard invaders will be subject to an indefinite ban and police action.
