Lacazette confirms exit talks

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette said he had talks with a number of clubs ahead of the summer as his contract in north London expires at the end of the season.

The Frenchman has endured a mixed season and produced some strong performances in attack where he was able to play together and help some of the team’s young attacking stars to develop. However, he has only scored four times in the Premier League this season.

As a result, his future at Arsenal remains uncertain and the man himself has confirmed he is considering his options.

“I’m in talks with a lot of clubs,” he said. “I’m open… I’ve never broken contact with Lyon since I left. I try to come back to the club once or twice a year to see the medical staff because we’re very close. Lyon know I’m free, they did.” come to the information.”

Aubameyang recording made

In the same interview, Lacazette revealed how he had “misunderstandings” about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before he joined Arsenal.

The Gabonese international left the Gunners in the January transfer window after falling out with manager Mikel Arteta. The forward was a regular goalscorer for Arsenal in his four years at the club and wore the captain’s armband on several occasions.

Aubameyang also forged a strong relationship with Lacazette and the Frenchman admitted he was surprised by his former teammate’s character.

“I had some misconceptions about him. Before he came I didn’t like him. To be honest I’m not friends with the Aubemayang you’re looking at Instagram. I’m friends with Pierre Emerick. People don’t know Pierre-Emerick. You know Aubameyang.”

Wright calls for a Ronaldo-style signing

Arsenal legend Ian Wright wants Arsenal to sign a predator in the penalty area – how Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 37-year-old striker has been divided since his return to the club last summer, although his hat-trick against Norwich City on Saturday brought his goals tally to 21 for the season.

While the Red Devils have a real finisher in attack, the Gunners lacked that ruthlessness in the last third. Wright believes it’s a trait the team needs if it wants to progress.

“He has 13 points just from goals won for them,” he said. “That’s exactly what Arsenal need because if he weren’t playing for United they wouldn’t be where they are at all. That’s what you pay for and that’s what he delivers, he’s amazing.”
