Martin Odegard has urged Borussia Dortmund’s superstar striker Erling Haaland to join Arsenal this summer.

The Norwegian is set to become one of football’s hottest properties this summer when a £68m release clause kicks in in his contract and top clubs from across Europe are among them Manchester City and real Madrid vie for his signature. But his international team-mate Odegaard has urged him to consider joining him at the Emirates Stadium.

The Arsenal playmaker has also revealed Gunners boss Mikel Arteta’s three-month plan for the club. and Rio Ferdinand has sent a clear message to the Gunners after rumors they are interested in signing Gabriel Jesus.

Arteta’s three-month plan

Martin Odegaard has unveiled Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s exciting three-month plan for his development.

Arteta has previously spoken on Norwegian TV about the work he is doing with Odegaard at the training ground – explaining it could take more than three months before improvements are seen. And the player has now explained how he “works on small details every day” under the Gunners boss.

And he also addressed his manager’s knowledge, explaining that “there’s always something to learn from him.”

Rio Ferdinand has said Gabriel Jesus will “score goals” if he signs for Arsenal this summer.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is expected to target at least two forwards in the summer transfer window, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah increasingly likely to leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of the season. Reports have linked Arteta to a reunion with City forward Jesus, who he worked with at Manchester City.

Odegaard is pushing for Haaland to be signed

Martin Ödegaard pushed for international teammates Erling Haland to join him at Arsenal.

The Borussia Dortmund striker is set to make a big money move this summer, with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City reportedly close to signing. And Odegaard has now said, “Of course, if he comes to England, he must come to us”.

But he has admitted that even though the two players are close, he “doesn’t know” what Haaland will do in the end.
