Saliba confusion

William Saliba’s agent said he was unsure whether the young defender would make Arsenal’s squad next season or not.

The Frenchman has been on loan at Marseille this season and has impressed and while Arteta has found dependable partnerships in Ben White and Gabriel, Saliba has huge potential and would bring excellent depth to the position.

Willian fights

After an overwhelming spell at Arsenal, Willian returned to his native Brazil last summer to play for his youth club Corinthians. Things didn’t go well for the 33-year-old.

The club was eliminated from the Paulista state championship by its great rivals Sao Paulo. They then suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat at the hands of Bolivian club Always Ready in the Copa Libertadores, while losing 3-0 to Palmeiras in LaLiga at the weekend.

There have also been incidents of fan violence at matches and when the Brazil international denounced these actions on social media, he became the target of abuse and threats. Willian has reportedly considered leaving the club and country as a result.

Mustafi broke in

Former Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi had around a million euros worth of cash, jewellery, watches and handbags stolen over the weekend.

The Levante centre-back is said to have been upstairs and at home while the attack on his property took place. He was unharmed.

“It is reported that three hooded men entered Mustafi’s apartment through a balcony after sneaking in from the golf course adjacent to the property,” reports Colin Millar.

“It is estimated the thieves spent 30 minutes at the property searching the rooms before the former Germany international was made aware of their presence – and then fled.”

After a report by the 30-year-old, the police are now investigating the burglary.
