TV star Ashley Banjo has revealed he probably won’t be returning to Dancing On Ice as ITV bosses have yet to give him the ‘green light’.
The Diversity star, 33, entered the skating competition in 2018 but it is unlikely he will judge alongside Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean again in the next series.
“The producers have told me the show is coming back with another series, but they haven’t given me the green light yet,” he explained.
“I cross my fingers and they’ll ask me back,” he told Daily Star Sunday newspaper.
The dancer and choreographer thought he would never ‘really care about ice dancing’, but in the end he fell in love with the sport as well as the contestants.

Ashley – who is currently touring with Diversity – also hosts ITV’s The Real Full Monty and E4’s Flirty Dancing.
It comes after the star revealed he’s still receiving online abuse from trolls nearly two years after Diversity ran a Black Lives Matter-inspired procedure on Britain’s Got Talent.
He gave an interview on Good Morning Britain last month and it sparked a new round of hostility from angry viewers.
“It happens all the time,” he told the Mirror.
“I took this spot on GMB to talk about how life-changing it was to win the BAFTA for Habit and I posted on Twitter afterwards, and it was like a stream of comments.
“The negative ones always cut through.”

Negativity hasn’t stopped Ashley from speaking up and showing the dance as he’s still performing as part of his Diversity tour.
“Every night, I go down and hug that knee and there’s a little part of me that’s like, ‘I wonder what’s going to happen. You just don’t know,” he said.
The practice has turned out well with fans who have flocked to see the group on their Connected tour.
“We never got a chance to do that routine in front of a crowd at the time because of Covid,” he added.
Ofcom received more than 31,000 complaints following the band’s Britain’s Got Talent performance in September 2020.
