Ask Allison: I’m a grown woman, so why am I afraid of the stereotypical school gate moms?

Allison Keating answers your questions about life and relationships.

question: I am a grown woman and I am afraid of September. My daughter goes to elementary school and is friends with a couple of girls whose mothers are very stereotypical. They are quite distant with me and my daughter is excluded from social events as a result. She’s 10 now and she’s starting to realize it and asks me why I don’t go out to eat with the other moms. They also go away with their families at the weekend.
