At least three people were killed and eight injured in a shooting in Fort Worth, Texas Monday night, authorities said several News reports.

The shooting reportedly took place at 11:40 p.m. following an annual festival called ComoFest near Como.

When the police got there, they found several people with gunshot wounds in a parking lot. Of the 11 people shot, one is a minor, CNN reportedciting a press release from the Fort Worth Police Department’s Homicide Division.

Authorities have not made any arrests and the motive behind the shooting is unclear. No suspects have been named.

Police Capt. Shawn Murray said heavy traffic and the firecrackers being fired made it difficult for officers to “navigate to the area quickly” while people ran to flee the scene in response to the gunfire.

“There was a large crowd, so a large police presence along with MedStar and fire service personnel responded to the shooting of several victims,” Murray said told reporters overnight on Monday. “Once we secured the crime scene, to my knowledge, people were transported to the hospital in both private vehicles and MedStar ambulances.”

An officer had to drive a shooting victim who needed urgent medical attention to a nearby ambulance because the vehicle was having trouble entering the area, Murray explained.

Murray added that the homicide squad was on the scene overnight looking for evidence.

Meanwhile, a woman wearing a bulletproof vest shot dead five people and injured two boys, ages 2 and 13, in Philadelphia Monday night, police said.

Two people were killed and 28 injured over the weekend, police said, after gunfire rang out at a block party in Baltimore on Sunday.
