At the unveiling of the new logo, family comes first for Citroen

Citroen will unveil a “significant” family vehicle that promises to be something special as the automaker embraces the new era of the automobile.

It will be the first of the brand’s new models to feature Citroen’s latest logo as part of a new corporate brand identity. The new logo reinterprets the original 1919 oval and is the tenth change in the evolution of the French brand over its 103-year history.

According to Citroen, the logo will make its debut on the aforementioned family concept car in the next few days, and then on all future global products from the middle of next year.

The new logo replaces the “floating” twin chevron design that has been common since 2009. It is a striking logo and leaves no doubt as to its identity.

The latest look is a reinterpretation of the original logo first adopted by founder Andre Citroen. It is inspired by the success of his first metalworking company, which made angular “herringbone” gear systems. At the unveiling of the new logo, family comes first for Citroen
