Atlas begins Kraken Bowl next week, with next server wipe coming May 18th

For those who enjoyed the current development phase of Atlas’ Early Access, The Industrial Season, the team will wipe the servers next month ahead of a new season.

Atlas is still under development and the developers are always aware that something might change as we work on it. However, this announcement gives everyone enough time to get things started and finish what they are doing before the end of the current season. This date is May 18, when the servers will also be wiped. These major updates and wipes are part of the process of the game leaving early access for a stable release later in the year.

With May almost here, there are some last fun events and things on offer ahead of the upcoming changes. The Kraken Bowl will have its own grid this time. Running from May 4th to May 18th, the Kraken Bowl has something for both PvPer and PvE-oriented alike. Reach it by setting sail from Tortuga and crossing the grid line. Then it’s up to you and your crew whether you want to end the rest of the season with a friendly competition.

The Kraken Bowl is one of the ongoing methods the team likes to use to wrap up before a server wipe. It doesn’t matter if you are new Atlas or a returning player who’s been through a Kraken Bowl or two, if you want to do just that and test your skills, here’s the latest installment.

However, having PvE options even in the big end-of-season community event still reflects part of Atlas’ opening up to more players. Last month’s Atlas roadmap details more of what’s to come, including ongoing PvP balancing, more build options, modular ship improvements, and more.

For details on the server deletion and the event, see the announcement here.
