Attempted robbery of an ASDA delivery man in Hailsham

A MAN demanded money from an ASDA delivery man during an attempted robbery.

The victim was sitting in a parked van at Observatory View in Hailsham when an unidentified man approached him and demanded cash.

However, the suspect fled the scene moments later, empty-handed.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place between 9:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Thursday 29 September.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 8in tall, wearing a dark hooded sweater and balaclava.

Anyone who has observed suspicious behavior, particularly the occupants of a vehicle believed to be traveling through the area at the time, is urged to contact police online or 101 quoting serial number 1402 dated 09/29 to call
