Australia’s travel rules are about to get easier as the country intends to scrap its Covid testing requirements for vaccinated travelers from next month, including PCR and antigen testing

Australia Holidays will be even easier for Brits as the country looks to further relax its entry requirements.
Currently, fully vaccinated travelers can visit Australia but will require a pre-travel Covid test such as a PCR test done within 72 hours of scheduled departure or a rapid antigen test done within 24 hours (this must be carried out under medical supervision). .
However, Covid testing requirements are set to be dropped for double-bitted travelers from next month, the Australian government has announced.
The country’s health secretary, Greg Hunt, announced this week that Covid testing rules will be lifted from June 17.

You will still need to show proof of a full Covid vaccination to get to your destination and face masks will still be required on all international flights to and from Australia.
There is more good news for travelers too, as restrictions on cruise holidays are also due to be lifted in April, meaning ships can once again call at the popular holiday destination.
According to Mr. Hunt, “Requirements for sea arrivals are also being aligned with those of airlines as part of safety protocols for the resumption of cruise operations.”
Australia first reopened to vaccinated holidaymakers in February, nearly two years after it first closed its borders due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This included travelers from the UK, meaning Brits can tick some of those again Australia’s incredibly beautiful places from the bucket list.
Travelers and visa holders who have not been double-stabbed must still have good cause or an approved exemption and are “subject to state and territory quarantine requirements.”
That means Australia will join a lineup of Countries vaccinated Britons can visit without testingnext to hotspots like France, Portugal, Greece, Canada and other holiday hotspots.
Australia isn’t the only long-haul destination welcoming back holidaymakers.
New Zealand is expected to welcome back vaccinated British travelers without quarantine from 11.59pm on May 1, although you will be required to test yourself on arrival.
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelers who are not New Zealand citizens cannot enter the country unless they meet the criteria for one of the few exemptions.
