Safiyya Vorajee says ‘every day is very hard’

Azaylia Cain’s mother Safiyya Vorajee said the days “couldn’t be easier” on the 10th anniversary of her daughter’s death.

In April last year, Safiyya and former reality TV star Ashley Cain sadly announced the tragic death of their 8-month-old daughter, who passed away after a brave battle with a form of illness rare white blood cells.

The couple established a foundation to honor Azaylia, and Safiyya even wrote a book, called Loving and Losing You, Azaylia.

In a series of candid posts on her Instagram Stories, the 34-year-old said she is struggling to celebrate her daughter’s death anniversary.

“Today is Azyalia’s anniversary, and it’s been 10 months since she passed away. And, no day has been easier,” Safiyya began.

“Every day is hard,” she said, becoming visibly emotional and telling her followers she felt “choked.”

“Doing these baby steps every day has really helped me a lot. Today just feels really, really hard. Everything is pulling me in and pulling me back so much. And I’m having a hard time,” she bravely shared.

Safiyya said she still has “a large portion” of the audiobook version of her upcoming book to record, and says it will be “a stressful day”.

“Chapters are hard to read today,” she added.

Safiyaa later posted a photo of herself holding a microphone in a recording studio, as she told her followers she was trying to hold back her tears.

“The chapters are really intense! Trying to hold back my tears so I can deliver is really hard,” she wrote at the climax.

Safiyya said she received messages from fans – and people with vision problems – who asked her to read the audiobook herself instead of hiring someone else to do it, and she decided to “go above and beyond.” challenge”.

Earlier, on Thursday, she shared a lengthy post on her Instagram Stories, revealing that she cried in bed as she tried to face the day.

“For the past 45 minutes, I just lay in bed, tears streaming down my face. I really miss my beautiful little daughter so much,” she wrote.

“She filled me with so much love, happiness and made me feel complete. I suffer every day, it never gets easier. Learning how to hold it together and rebuild layers of power is really hard! ”

Safiyya said she underwent counseling to try to help with her severe episodes of anxiety and panic attacks, and although she still suffers from them, she accepts her pain as “normal” “.

“I still get panic attacks and waves of grief every day, but now I know that this is my new normal. Grief is love and I will love you forever Azaylia.”
