Back 4 Blood has 10 million players since release, first DLC coming in April

Turtle Rock Studios announced that over 10 million players have played Back to 4 health since its release last fall.

News of this milestone comes with the announcement of the first DLC, Tunnels of Terror, which will launch on April 12.

Content will be released as part of the Back 4 Blood: Ultimate Edition, Back 4 Blood: Deluxe Edition, Back 4 Blood Year Pass, or through a standalone purchase. The expansion will feature new Ridden Hives PvE co-op, new playable Cleaners and Ridden variants, exclusive weapon and character skins, etc.

In Tunnels of Terror, teams of up to four people can participate in a new cooperative operation called Ridden Hives. Here, they will explore seven different dungeons filled with tunnels beneath the depths of Evansburgh, where a new type of Ridden resides known as the Warped Ridden.

To receive the exclusive loot and rewards offered only in the Ridden Hives, the player must cross and overcome the new Warped Ridden, consisting of Urchins, Shredders, and damage-causing Rippers. New Warped Ridden variants are also playable in PvP Swarm mode.

The upcoming expansion will introduce two new playable Cleaners – Sharice, an ax-wielding firefighter, and Heng, a restaurateur. Also in Tunnels of Terror are eight exclusive character skins, seven new legendary weapons, 12 new weapon skins, new cards and more.

The expansion will coincide with the release of the No Hope difficulty setting, a free update that adds an extra level of challenge for elite players. It should be noted that all playable content in the Tunnels of Terror expansion will be accessible to all players in a party as long as one player in that party has purchased the expansion.

Additionally, no microtransactions of any kind, cosmetic or otherwise, will be added to the game as part of this expansion or any future content updates. future.
