Lady Gaga will introduce the rising stars segment at this year’s Bafta film awards.
he pop star, who is Bafta nominated for House Of Gucci for Leading Actress, will speak about the importance of supporting the next generation of talent at the March 13 ceremony.
She will introduce Bukky Bakray, last year’s up-and-coming award winner, on stage at the Royal Albert Hall, and Bakray will then present the coveted mask to this year’s winner.
No Time To Die star Lashana Lynch and West Side Story actress Ariana DeBose are among the contenders for the title of Future Next Star.
They were nominated for an EE Rising Star Award alongside Millicent Simmonds of A Quiet Place, The King’s Man actor Harris Dickinson and Kodi Smit-McPhee, whose recent work includes Jane Campion’s The Power Of The Dog.
It is the only audience-voted category at the Bafta Film Awards and past winners include John Boyega, James McAvoy, Kristen Stewart and Tom Hardy.

Voting for the EE Rising Star Award closes at 10pm on March 11th.
The ceremony will be broadcast on BBC One from the Royal Albert Hall at 7pm on March 13.
