Ballet stars join together in Dance For Ukraine gala

Ballet stars will come together for a charity gala in London to raise money for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Ance For Ukraine will be held at the London Coliseum on March 19 with proceeds raised towards the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) call to provide aid to people fleeing Ukraine.
The gala will feature artists from the Royal Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet and English National Ballet, who have supported their services.
Among the participating dancers were Russian ballerina Natalia Osipova, principal of the Royal Ballet, and Ukrainian Katja Khaniukova, who participated in the British National Ballet in 2014.
The charity performance will be directed by former Royal Ballet stars Ivan Putrov, from Ukraine, and Romanian Alina Cojocaru, who trained together in Kyiv before joining the Royal Ballet School in London. .
Putrov said: “The gala is about defending human values. Our unity reinforces the message.

Cojocaru added: “Words alone can be of little help in the face of such suffering and the loss of innocent lives.
“Art, love and humanity can inspire and even heal.
“In this spirit, we will unite on the 19th to dance and offer the help we can.”
The British National Opera has rented the London Arena free of charge and volunteered to support the music for the event.
DEC brings together 15 of the UK’s top aid charities, including the British Red Cross, Oxfam UK and Save the Children UK, working in Ukraine and in other countries. borders of the country to help those fleeing the conflict.
