In October last year, Bandai Namco – the Japanese video game publisher responsible for series like Pac Man, Tekken and Dark Souls – announced to change the company logo.
This change was supposed to come into effect later this year and has now officially happened in early April. The new logo can be seen on the company’s website, products and social media accounts on Facebook and Facebook Twitter.

The logo expresses the merger of Bandai Namco and reflects the new corporate purpose of “fun for everyone in the future”:
“Fun for All in the Future – Bandai Namco exists to share dreams, fun and inspiration with people around the world. We connect people and societies in the joy of uniquely entertaining products and services and work to create a better future for all. “
“The speech bubble also represents Japan’s manga culture, which has become so popular everywhere. The logo represents our determination to communicate with fans worldwide, connect with our fans and create entertainment that is unique to Bandai Namco.”
“For the Color theme, we sent questionnaires to employees around the world to collect their thoughts on words that express images associated with the company’s goals. From the frequently mentioned words, we selected candidate colors through scientific methods by associating words with colors. From among these candidates, we chose a bright red color that conveys an enthusiastic, fun, active and bold impression.”
