Barcombe crash: Ditchling woman suffers ‘life-threatening injuries’
A woman remains in hospital with “life-threatening” injuries after a motorcycle crash after a fireworks display.
The 67-year-old woman from Ditchling remains in serious condition following the incident between a motorbike and a group of pedestrians.
The crash occurred on the High Street in Barcombe, just after the village’s bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday 19 November.
A 17-year-old who rode the motorcycle remains on bail after he was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injuries by driving dangerously.
A 30-year-old East Grinstead woman who was also taken to hospital with serious injuries after the crash has since been discharged.

Several people were injured in the accident, including two children who were treated at the scene.
Sussex Police closed the road after the incident but reopened it shortly after completing their investigation.
Police are continuing their investigation and have urged anyone with information or footage to report the information online or to call 101 and quote Operation Meadow.
