Bare-handed boxing boss David Feldman wants to sign UFC star Francis Ngannou to get promoted to BKFC if he doesn’t renew his current deal.
The Cameroon star is still in talks with the UFC about a potential new contract after successfully defending his heavyweight title against Cyril Gane.
Ngannou has expressed a desire to get into the boxing ring before his career is over, and has made several fights to try and secure a clause included in any deal with the UFC to allow that.
BKFC promoter Feldman believes Ngannou may be intrigued by the company and has been helped by their recent new partnership with Triller.
“We’re going after the biggest names, but we’ll see what happens there. Biggest name in free agency,” said Feldman MMA time. “I’m not sure if he’ll come out of that window, but we’re definitely making a play for him.
“At that stage, you’re talking about money, aren’t you? If we can get that money back, we’re in the game. I don’t think we’re out of the game for anything right now.
“To be honest with you, we have a good partner we’ve just partnered with who likes to think outside the box, likes to break things like we do. And I think there’s a great opportunity to do so. we have the biggest and best names out there.”
Ngannou dropped out of his current UFC deal with Gane earlier this year and is demanding higher pay for any potential new deal along with a boxing entry clause.
He accepted the challenge of the heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury on many occasions with the ‘King Gypsy’ ready to make a skirmish happen in 2023.
This is likely to be pushed back further with Ngannou ruled out for nine months with a knee injury.
However, negotiations are still ongoing between Ngannou and UFC president Dana White in the hopes that an agreement can be reached.

The UFC kingpin has confirmed that Ngannou is free to leave if he refuses to sign a new deal and fails to make a breakthrough.
Bellator champion Gegard Mousasi has asked the UFC to release the heavyweight champion and would love to see him boxing.
“I hope he goes to boxing and makes some money. They can let him go,” Mousasi said. James Lynch.
“They want Jon Jones to be able to come back, you know, and they can let him go [to] make an example. They do [that] There are a lot of fighters that have left and come back so I know the UFC fights sometimes.
“If he wants to get paid, if he can do boxing, [he’d] does in one fight what he would do in 10 fights in the UFC. He should do it. “
