Bayonetta 3 lets you toggle nudity

BAYONETTA 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch this fall, and developer Platinum Games has announced a new mode for Naive Angels.

The third game in the Bayonetta series was announced in 2017, but we didn’t get our first real look until September 2021.

However, a new trailer has been released, along with information about special editions and a physical release of the original Bayonetta for Switch.

Alongside the trailer, Platinum Games also unveiled an all-new mode that will be a first for the series – a nudity toggle.

Bayonetta is an ancient witch with the power to summon giant fists, feet and even demons from her hair.

These are not creatures that live only in their locks, but deadly weapons made entirely of Bayonetta’s hair.

Her outfit is also hair, and frankly, it’s not enough for modesty and weapons.

Every time Bayonetta attacks with anything other than her guns, she becomes more and more naked.

Of course, when she unleashes an all-out attack, she strips to the skin.

Platinum Games has announced that it has no intention of making Bayonetta wear more clothes.

However, to expand the audience or just to save some people from embarrassment, a new mode called “Naive Angel Mode‘ got introduced.

Not only does this mode allow Bayonetta to put on her clothes, even while tossing her hair, it also obscures some other, more scantily clad characters.

However, if you want to experience the Umbra Witch in all her sexy striptease glory, you can do so even with the mode turned off.

A statement from Platinum reads:

“Relax, the witch is back and sexier than ever.

“We’ve added the revolutionary ‘Naive Angel Mode’ to Bayonetta 3 so more people can fully enjoy it.

“If you turn it on, you can play right in the living room without worrying about what’s on the screen…we think.”

That Japanese account is not that shy. While delivering the same message, it begins with the cheekier “Don’t worry, it’s coming off,” followed by three peach emojis.

Fans have been very positive about the addition, appreciating the ability to choose to put the clothes on or take them off.
