BBC Breakfast’s Dan Walker was left out when his co-star Sally Nugent brutally labeled him “second-rate” on Tuesday’s episode.
The duo were joined by Nina Warhurst as they discussed today’s new postage stamps, which include barcodes for tracking and tracking deliveries.
The trio are assigned a large stamp, both of which hold a second class stamp while Sally’s is a first class stamp.
Sally joked: “Did you ever hide something behind the sofa? What do you have?”
The pair then pulled out large stamps, with Dan commenting: “Look at this little beauty. It’s a new stamp – you might not recognize this. It has a barcode.”
He kept asking Sally: “By the way, do you have one too?”
His co-host then pulled out a first-class stamp that shocked the Serious star, who only had one second-rate stamp.
He asked, “Come on. Why do you have a first-class stamp and I have a second-class stamp? What are they trying to tell me?”
Sally cheekily replied, “Don’t you think it’s obvious?”
Turning to Nina, Dan asked, “Are you responsible for this, Warhurst? What’s going on?”
Nina showed fans her second-rate stamp and replied, “No, Dan Walker – I’m second-rate too!”
“We’re a team! You and I are a team!” Dan told her.
But Sally replied, “No!”
Nina concludes: “This is a big day for the stamp world, we wouldn’t want to miss it.”
Earlier on the show, Dan stroked Sally cheekily and suggested that she shouldn’t ‘take her pulse’ when she has to stay up late to watch sports news.
