BBC broadcaster Jennie Gow releases update after stroke
Gow covering formula 1 Per BBC Radio 5 LiveShe shared the update exactly one month after what she described as a “major stroke.”
In the Twitter post on Sunday morning, Gow – who wrote the message herself – wrote: “A month ago today I collapsed with a stroke.
“With a lot of help from the NHS, friends and family, we are finding our footing in this post-stroke world.

“I have rehab every day (with a lot of homework) and we’re seeing progress, but I can’t tell you how exhausting it is!
“One final mention to my daughter and especially husband @jamiecoley396
“Without him I might not be here now.
“(Sorry for any mistakes – relearning how to write is difficult) Thanks for your support!! #stroke.
Fans and colleagues rushed to the channel’s comments to offer their best wishes.
Fellow BBC Sonali Shah tweeted: “Oh Jenny – sending you love and strength in your recovery.”
International GT Open senior commentator George Morgan wrote: “Nice to hear you’re taking a stand against Jennie! Sending wishes for a full recovery.”
Another fan shared, “Sending so much love and admiration to you and your family for the work you and they are putting into recovery.
“We all know you’ll be back to full strength as soon as possible.”
While a fourth added: “Be strong! I believe in you. Having a stroke isn’t the last place, it’s a journey to recovery.”
