BBC One suspends regular programming amid concerns about Queen’s health

BBC One has halted its regular broadcast schedule after it was announced that the Queen was under medical supervision at Balmoral.

He is currently broadcasting BBC News Special with the next scheduled program BBC News at Six.

Presenter Huw Edwards wore a dark suit, white shirt and black tie, in keeping with the BBC’s dress code when a member of the royal family died out of respect.

BBC One interrupted Bargain Hunt at 12:39 to issue a statement from Buckingham Palace, which said royal doctors were concerned for health.

The statement said the head of state felt comfortable and her royal doctors recommended that she continue to be under medical supervision.

The broadcaster has broadcast the news continuously since discussing the Queen’s health concerns with various reporters, including the BBC’s royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge and Duchess of Cornwall are among the members of the royal family who have traveled to the Queen’s home in the Scottish Highlands to be with her.

ITV News will also air a news special from 5pm with presenter Mary Nightingale, ITV News royal editor Chris Ship confirmed on Twitter.
