BBC Radio 2 has announced a major schedule change – with Craig Charles losing his show, as Michelle Visage joins the group.
Beeb has revealed a major change to its Friday-to-Sunday weekend schedule, starting Friday, July 15.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK judge Michelle will kick things off as she’s landed her own show on Friday night’s prime time slot.
Fans can tune in from 7-9pm, where she’ll deliver a weekend of style with a vibrant mix of soothing tunes.
In August, she will also return with BBC Sounds’s podcast series, Michelle Visage’s Rule Breakers. It will be broadcast on Radio 2 on Saturdays.

Speaking of her new career move, Michelle said: “I’m on the moon broadcasting my own show to millions of listeners on Radio 2, where every Friday night I’ll be debuting. weekend in great style with some of my all-time favorites that promise to put you in the best mood!And I’m back with a new series of Rule Breakers for BBC Sounds – I’m SO HOT! Keep it up!”
Tony Blackburn’s Golden Hour will air on Sundays from 7-8pm.
Meanwhile, Craig Charles’ House Party – currently airing on Saturday, 10pm – midnight – will end.
“Every party has to come to an end, and even though I’m getting ready to broadcast Trunk of Funk on Radio 2, I’d love to bring the party to its vibrant listeners every Saturday night,” he said. “
Craig can still be heard on BBC Radio 6 Music every day of the week, from 1-4pm and The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show – airing on Saturday nights, 6-9pm.
Dr Rangan Chatterjee’s performance – which takes place at 10pm on Sunday – midnight – is also being affected.
Ana Matronic will also watch the end of the show Dance Devotion.
