Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker will make her final appearance as Time Lord this month, the BBC has announced.
The centennial special, titled The Power Of The Doctor, will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on October 23 to end her time on the sci-fi series after joining the show. since 2017.
This episode is the last of this year’s three specials and will see Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor fight for her existence against some of her deadliest enemies – The Master , Daleks and Cybermen.
It will be the first time that the Doctor’s three classic rivals have all appeared in a single storyline since the show’s return to BBC One in 2005.
The Lord of Time will face other problems including deciphering who is attacking a speeding train traveling on the edge of a distant galaxy and why seismologists are missing from Earth. The 21 st century.
She will also wonder who is spoiling some of history’s most famous paintings and why a Dalek is trying to contact her after all these years.
A first look at the special celebration earlier this year revealed that two of the Doctor’s companions from earlier eras will reprise their roles.
Janet Fielding will return as Tegan Jovanka, the companion of the Fourth and Fifth Doctor, while Sophie Aldred will return as Ace, the companion of the Seventh Doctor.
Also returning is actor Sacha Dhawan, who last appeared as The Master in the final episode of series 12 The Timeless Children.
The special event also featured Mandip Gill and John Bishop.

Whittaker announced last July that she would be leaving the BBC sci-fi series after a special trilogy.
Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa will replace her as the show’s 14th Doctor.
The 29-year-old becomes the fourth Scot to fill the position, after Sylvester McCoy, David Tennant and Peter Capaldi.
Showrunner Chris Chibnall will also be leaving the show to be replaced by Russell T Davies, the man behind the show’s 2005 revival.
Tennant, the 10th Time Lord, will also return to the show alongside Catherine Tate, who plays companion Donna Noble, to coincide with the show’s 60th anniversary.
